MEET YOUR COACH
MARIS MARTINSONS

HI, I'M MARIS
I've been coaching since 2014 and have taken hundreds of men through this. I'm a competitive bodybuilder, I hold a couple of powerlifting records, and I still compete.
That last part matters more than any certificate. I don't ask a client to do anything I haven't done myself first.
But the thing that actually shaped how I coach isn't on that list.

I started as a skinny kid in a small village in Latvia, in a school gym with a bar, a bench and a couple of dumbbells. I was the only one training there. Nobody taught me anything, so I taught myself, and I turned out to be good at it. Powerlifting records as a junior and first bodybuilding show in 2014, and I won it.
6 years of progress, then 7 years of being stuck.
2014 was the year I got stuck. Same year I started coaching other men, which is the part that still makes me laugh. I was sorting out other people's training while my own body sat in exactly the same place for the best part of a decade. Not a session missed, not a meal missed and working harder than anyone I knew, but nothing moved.
I could see what was wrong with everyone else, but I could not see what was wrong with me.
What finally fixed it was the one thing my pride wouldn't let me do for a long time. I got a coach. In the couple of years after that I progressed more than in the entire 7 before it.
And it wasn't secret information. It was three things, all obvious the moment somebody else said to my face. I was out most weekends and not sleeping enough, so I trained a body that never got proper recovery. I ate healthy, but when I felt like eating, so I never knew whether I'd had enough. And I trained on feel rather than to a plan, so my sessions were hard but weren't going anywhere in particular.
Then my coach held me to it. Here's the part that still gets me. Same hours in the gym, same effort, same time out of my week. The structure was the only thing that changed, and it was worth 7 years.
7 years of my best training age, gone to "I can figure this out myself." That's why I coach the way I do. Not because I think you're incapable. Because I know exactly how long a capable man can stay stuck when he won't let anyone look.
Recovery, food and direction. Those 3 are the reasons I see men stuck now, and I had all of them.
I SPENT 7 YEARS STUCK

WHO I WORK WITH
Men who are already successful at hard things. Business owners, directors, engineers, doctors. Men with demanding jobs, families, and not much spare time. Most of them are already training when they come to me. That's the frustrating part, and it's usually why they get in touch. The effort is there, the discipline is there. Everywhere else in their life, that combination works. Here it doesn't, and nobody has ever explained why.
They're not looking for motivation. They're looking for someone who understands their world and can tell them exactly what to change.
☑️ You train consistently, and your body hasn't changed in months
☑️ You're successful everywhere else, and this is the one thing you can't sort out
☑️ You don't know what to change next, so you keep changing everything
☑️ Your plan collapses the moment work gets busy
☑️ You want lean and muscular, not just lighter
☑️ You're happy to do the work, but you need someone to tell you which work
YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF:
MY APPROACH
Most coaching hands you a plan and leaves you dependent on whoever wrote it. Stop paying, and within a few months you're back where you started, because you never learned anything. You just followed instructions.
I'd rather teach you the reasoning. What your training is doing, why your food is set up the way it is, what to adjust when work goes sideways or your body changes. It takes longer to explain, but it's the only version that lasts.
I'll tell you the thing that took me 7 years to accept. There is no man in fantastic shape who got there entirely on his own. Every athlete you've ever admired had someone behind him. Arnold said everything he achieved, in bodybuilding, in film, in politics, came down to other people.
It isn't a lack of ability that keeps a capable man stuck. It's that he won't let anyone look.

MY MISSION
TO GET MEN IN THE BEST SHAPE OF THEIR LIFE AND TEACH THEM ENOUGH THAT THEY NEVER NEED ME AGAIN.
I JUDGE THAT ON TWO THINGS. WHAT MY CLIENTS LOOK LIKE AT THE END, AND WHETHER THEY HOLD IT A YEAR LATER. THE SECOND ONE IS HARDER & IT'S THE ONE THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS.
